PNW Trout · last updated 22 September 2026
PNW Trout collects no personal data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising identifier, and no tracking of any kind. Nothing you do in the app is sent to us, because there is nothing to send it to.
Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.
The app asks for your location only when you choose to sort waters by distance or center the map on yourself. It is used on your device to calculate distances and is never stored, never transmitted, and never seen by us. Accuracy is deliberately requested at kilometer level, which is all that sorting requires. Declining costs you nothing but those two conveniences.
Notifications are generated on your device by the app itself. There are no push notifications, so there is no device token and no server holding a list of who to notify.
The app downloads three public data files from a static host. It sends no information about you with those requests. As with any request to any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) may record standard server log information such as an IP address and timestamp, under their privacy policy. We do not receive, access, or store those logs.
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
If this policy ever changes, the updated date above will change with it. Any change that involved collecting data would be described here plainly and in advance.
